I find the idea of lighthouses very appealing. This is a version of Peggy's Cove, in which the lighthouse is centrally located. I also decided to put in the Northern Lights because I was thinking it might add a "mirage" effect, similar to one seen if lost in the desert. I also painted some horizontally oriented pink lines to convey the idea of sails placed around the light house to give the idea of a a mast. Lastly, I let the red paint drip to give the feeling of a sail unfurling and to also pay respect to the many who have lost their lives on the rugged Coasts of our country.
