On the Northern Border

This is a painting that I created which was inspired by Asian art that I have recently become fascinated with. It depicts an area in which the foothills and mountains meet near the Northern Border of China. I painted the scene because I love mountains and would like to one day visit China. I really enjoyed writing Chinese characters in the painting. Technically it was a fun painting to create with square/rectangular elements in the upper third contrasting with the more triangular mountains in the lower section, separated by the red light from the setting sun.
